The blog… well, at first it was weird, I’ve never post in a blog or something, and I was confused, then the essays I made were bored jaja, but I like it now, even more with the project of the pictures and the video, it was fun..

Final Assignment

Teacher, I'll miss you even when you hate me or have something against me I do like you. Maybe you might be way to hard to me, but it's ok, because you use to treat me well and I still remember that. Even when you didn't want to sign my calendar and changed me from place and blame me for stuff that Melissa or Lorena did, I still think you are a great teacher and that you are one of the teacher I enjoy the most. I don't know if you'll give us class next semester, but I hope you do even when yo hate me. About the blog, well it was easy and I liked it because it was fun, but I liked the most the last assignments. Thank you for everything teacher! :)

Well, the semester is over. And these semester we had to use the blog. I got stressed when I lost my password(its one of the few times it has happened)I really liked the blog, because I’m used to post comments because I have things like MySpace and metro flog and things like that. I liked some of the projects(not the one of the video . It was hard to record my voice and for it to come up right.)

I’m glad its finally over with these semester. I want to have vacations to go see my family and friends. I did like this semester’s class, it was interesting (most of the time).
Teacher I hope you have great vacations. Take care, and have fun. See you in August!!! ;)

Really your class was awesome, even the topic wasn´t really good (Advanced Writing) you made it fun! You are a great teacher, and a great person.

Your idea of the blog was awesome! Some times we forgot it, or we didn´t wanted to work, but when we were doing it we got a lot of fun!

Personally I will miss you as my teacher, I hope to have you in other semesters, or at least keep in contact with you. Keep on doing your great work teacher! (And don´t put your students to write sooooo many things). Jaja

Lets meet TUPAI :)

Tupai is an "everything about" music band, formed online by 5 very different musicians from all around the world. The main idea of Tupai is not being to big; as you may know, Tupai is a small island; making a fussion of everything in music that every member knows, to express not only themselves, but to express ideas. The combination of cool guitars, incredible bass, good drum attack and creative keyboards, jamming all together from 80 bpm to the virtousity level.
Tupai is formed by 5 versatile musicians, Guthrie Govan on guitar, Elvin Jones on drums, Abraham Laboriel on bass, Tadeo Gutierrez on guitar and vocals and finally but not less important Keith Emerson on keyboards.
The first album came out in september 5 of 2008, and is called "they have no holidays". The title is refered to the people that is manipulated by someone else, that is really, a lot; those people are blinded by someone else, they don't receive enough information, they can't express themselves, they don't really have a day free of that mind control... they have no holidays.
And... for everyone... those people... are everyone of us...

People often say, "Don't judge a book by its cover." Describe a time when you misjudged someone solely on his or her appearance or when someone misjudged you.

ORTOFON

Our Group is called Ortofon, and the new album is called “And not quite all the time”. Our band plays rock/Pop music and also others. Our band likes also to play calm and relaxing music. We try to change every once in a while our sound. We like to try new things and to experiment.
Our band is made up of 6 members. Three boys and three girls. Mike in the guitar, Joey in the bass, Jonathan in the drums, me in the violin, Kevin in the piano and Lisa in the singing. Mike is the oldest of all of us; he is like a big brother to all of us. Lisa and Jonathan are the same age and they are twins. Kevin is the second youngest and he is great in the piano. And then it’s me, the youngest of all and all of them are like my own family.
With this album we try to have a variety of genders of music. With our lyrics we try to give them a real meaning. We talk about the problems dealing these days, love, hatred and several other things. We are glad that the people like them. In these album we are trying a new sound and now kevin is singing! we hope aour fans like the new arrangement.

assignment #2, Third Partial

My band is called Henry King, and our new album is called “They pass no criticisms”. The type of music we play is pop/rock, but we like to experiment with music so some of our songs are balads and calm ones. Most songs of the album are to dance and to have fun. The songs are to entertain, the lyrics are made by myself, and talk about love, life, betrayal, in summary is music to all people, everyone can feel identified with the lyrics so are very liked in people.

The band is form by 5 members, 3 boys and 2 girls (myself include). We are a new band so our names aren’t so known, but the music yes so there’s no problem. 2 boys play the guitar (the real names are not mention to the people so they liked to be called JB and JT), the oldest boy (we called him G)  play piano, the other girl (called B) play the drum which is very cool. I sing the songs and I write them too, so I am very important in the band too.

Tha name of the album refer to us, because with our music we don’t express disapproval of someone or something based on perceived faults or mistakes, so we don’t criticase, and we like to share our thoughts with our music so hope you live the cover of our new album.

Parents are our first and most important teachers. Describe a time when you learned a valuable lesson from one of your parents. 

The Manchi Brothers

My band is called Manchi, and it is a pretty creative and original band. As you can see its cover is very abstract and kind of technological. The band plays hard rock mixed with some electro and hard distortions of guitar, with synthetizers and a hard and speedy drum attack.
* The members of Manchi are just four. Since we are an instrumental band we don´t need a vocal. It is composed by drums, guitar, synth and bass. Uriel García is the leader and drummer (endorzed by DW), Alex Yanez is the guitarrist (endorzed by Fender), Tony Montana is the bassist (endorzed by Fender) and finally Paco Kadenaz is the synth guy (endorzed by Roland).
* The name of our album “You´re not going fast enough” is like that because of our kind of speed while playing, it is really unbelievable. Also as making fun of other musicians that aren´t that good like us, like dream theater and shit like that.
* Actually we have 2 years as a band, and we had played around the world in hard rock cafe of many cities, all the continents and many stadiums. We are in vacations for personal achieves of every member. Uriel is producing and arranging music for many famous artists and making himself rich! Tony is working in a farm. Paco is learning to play sax and wasting time playing Wii. And finally Alex is making some dirty deals with Fender. Hope you enjoy the beginning of futurist music!


URIEL GARCIA

My band is called Hop Count, and the title of our album is: on our own bottom. We play calmed music, or more like pop. There is seven members on the band, Mitch plays guitar, Leonard plays the drums, Lore the violin, Tod the bass and I sing and the other two are cheerleaders that are Mariana and Melissa. I met Mitch on the supermarket and then we became friends and he listen to me singing and liked it and intoduced me to Leonard and Tod and then I said to include Lorena. So westarted playing really silly and became good, then Mariana and Melissa wanted to try it but were shy so I told them to be the dancers and the cheerleaders so they are appearing in every video we make. They discovered us because one of the agents cars got broke near our house and we were playing and heard us and liked it. We called the CD Hop Count, because we were watching Wikipedia and we found an article named that way so we liked it, then the background picture is from Spain in a festival, the title is ON OUR OWN BOTTOM, because some were depressed and got inspired an that was the first song we record on the studio.

“The misfortune of the millonaire”

Once upon a time, there was a rich and succesful guy called Vinziano in Italy. He was at the top of the world. He was the owner and boss of Omega Enterprises™, the company that manufactured all the new technology in the world. His fortune was above all the US and European Union´s money together.

One day, Vinziano went to Switzerland to a business meeting with some of his employees. While he was in that country, he slept in one of his houses in the outskirts of Berna. His mansion was pretty, enormous and ostentatious. Even he was the richest man in the world, and he could have whatever he wanted, he was really lonely and sad.

When he was in the mansion he tought of what he can do to feel some company for a while, but for someone like him it was very dangerous to go alone to the street and even more to “common places”. He told to his bodyguards to stay in the mansion while he went to a poor bar of Berna dressed up as someone common. He looked up the bar called “The house of evil” and he decided to enter and see what was going on. Then he opened the door and there it is.

Now being inside the bar, he started watching around. He was kind of scared because that environment was totally new for him. He got closer to a table and he ordered a whisky. He was shy and alone watching to all places. A moment later a woman came to him, and greeted him, telling: “I´m Ruby”. She was pretty, blonde, eye-colored, and amazingly sexy. Vinziano was surprised of finding a so refined woman in that horrible place, and they started talking.

Ruby wasn´t stupid and rapidly recognized Vinziano. She started to get his trust and some moments later, they were already in Vinziano´s house having some “fun”. Ruby achieved her goal of making him fall in love and erase all his emptiness and loneliness. The months passed and they started living together as a couple, but when a year passed Ruby already had all the secrets and Vinziano and the codes of Omega Enterprises™ and she robbed everything letting Vinziano totally poor.

The Journal

Once upon a time there was a little family made just of a dad a mom and a small daughter called Susie. The mother and the father didn’t had a family anymore so they only had each other. Even so the family was very happy. Susie was 6 years old, and all the weekends they used to go to the park and eat ice cream. Everything was great, or at least it seemed like it.

One day the mother got very ill. They diagnosed cancer and that she had no cure. She was hospitalized and she started getting weaker and weaker. Susie and her dad will not leave the hospital. Susie would cry every day and told her mom to get well soon so they would go to the park like before. Susie made her mother to promise that she will wet better. A few days latter her mother died. On the funeral all the friends where there, everybody was sad and crying except Susie. She didn’t even shed a tear, she only saw everybody around her crying and depressed.

Days, weeks, months passed.5 years had passed since the death of susie’s mother. Her dad was dating one of the richest ladies of the city. She was called Janette Smith. You could tell that they where deeply in love and that Janette loved Susie. Although Susie had never tried to communicate nor tried to get to know Jeanette. Susie sense the dead of her mother had not smiled and didn’t had many friends. She was introverted and didn’t showed her feelings

Siusi's dad and Jeannette got married. and they moved to the mansion of Jeannette’s family. Susie got to a new school and had a different live compared to the one she had before. Susie’s birthday was getting closer and Jeannette was planning a party for her. She starts getting all the things that Susie likes. A few days before the party Jeannette was missing the gift that she will give her on the party. She strats to peek on Susie to see what things do she really want.

One day while Susie was at school Jeannette went into Susie’s room. She starts to look around things. she got desperate and jumped to bed to get a little thinking. She was looking at the roof and when she turned her head to the pillow she noticed a little pink and cute notebook with a cute little doll picture on the cover. She took it and opened it. in the first page it said Susie’s journal. She kept going until she got to the day when they got married. Jeannette got curious and started to read. A few minutes later she closed the notebook and started to cry. She left the notebook like it was before she took it and left the room.
